The Canadian Food Innovation Network (CFIN) provides free membership access to funding, expert support, and a collaborative community of 7,500+ members working across Canada's food sector.

Funding Opportunities CFIN has distributed over $23 million in food innovation funding to companies across Canada, with members securing more than $19 million through CFIN programs. Funding targets industrial research, development, and demonstration activities across technology readiness levels 1 to 7. To access funding, you must first become a free member.

YODL Platform CFIN's proprietary platform offers members round-the-clock access to daily original content, supplier connections, networking opportunities, foodtech resources, and curated funding opportunities. The platform uses smart automated systems to identify high-potential companies and provide priority support.

Expert Support Five nationally distributed Regional Innovation Directors provide wraparound services including investor access, customer introductions, and guidance on navigating Canada's innovation ecosystem. These directors have initiated 400+ collaborations across the food sector.

Community and Impact

CFIN's membership spans the entire food value chain—manufacturers, processors, operators, distributors, retailers, foodservice companies, tech firms, service providers, and funders. The network has published over 1,500 pieces of thought leadership, supported 108 funded projects that created hundreds of new jobs and $23 million in new revenues for foodtech firms.
